"I understand that it’s a first world problem, but even with our diverse food choices in the Bay Area, I have been complacent and bored of food lately. After eating at Zitouna, the flavors of their food have awakened my taste buds once again. Even though I am familiar with Mediterranean dishes, I had noticed on their menu that there were many things on there that I have not seen or tried before. My goodness, the food was delightful! My family ordered the familiar dishes such as Chicken and Beef/Lamb Shawarma Plates, and Baba Ganoush/Hummus. The items we tried for the first time was the Hooriya-a spiced carrot puree dip that comes with pita bread, Brik Fiselle-Potato and cheese wrapped egg roll, and Mujadra-spiced rice and lentils with fried onions and came with taziki sauce and pickles. There was not a dish we could have gone without. What’s even more telling of this place, is that I have 3 little ones that tend to be picky eaters-tried and found themselves enjoying the food as well. Though they are in their soft opening phase, there is such a welcoming atmosphere. I found out through the owner that he used to work at Mezze and Mooore in the Mission and since then, he and his wife branched out on their own and opened this restaurant with more Tunisian influence, where the owner is from. Zitouna is such a refreshing addition to SF, in particular, the Outer Richmond area. I even found myself ordering take out from here this evening, the food travels well, and deliciously consistent."

"A new hidden gem! Great service and food is amazing, flavorful! You can taste the quality ingredients. Turkish coffee and chicken shawarma are must haves. Comparable to Mazra's. IYKYK. Can't wait to be back already. This will be weekly stop for us now."

"So excited to have this delicious new Tunisian restaurant in the Outer Richmond! I've missed having good Mediterranean food nearby. We had the taziki, hooryia, brik fiselle, haloumi caprese, and mixed kebab plate. Everything was flavorful and delicious. I can't wait to return and try everything on the menu. The decor is lovely and the staff is friendly and attentive. What a treasure!"

"If you want your taste buds to throw a party, get this Mediterranean catering ASAP. The falafel was crispy magic, the tzatziki and garlic sauce could end wars, and the lamb made me weep happy tears. Guests fought over the last mint lemonade, so next time I need to order another pitcher. I highly recommend for instant foodie joy! Five stars and a pita crown!"

"Fabulous new Mediterranean restaurant on Clement, came to their opening last Saturday and was blown away by how fresh and delicious every dish I had was. Ordered the beef/lamb rice plate, hummus, babaganoush, salad, and falafel (my favorite, and I usually don't even like falafel!). Also not to be missed is the Tunisian carrot dish as well as the mint lemonade, my kids loved it! The owners Mehdi and Anna were wonderful and answered any and all questions we had, our daughter has a lot of food allergies. 10/10, couldn't recommend more, a lovely new addition to restaurant row on Clement."

"In its soft open era, this mom and pop Mediterranean restaurant was great! The food was tasty, service was welcoming and quick, ambiance was cute and vibey, and most of all, the owners and staff are super friendly and kind. We will definitely be back and we hope this authentic place is here to stay!"

"This place is super cute and the service and food was great. Got the Hooryia, Kibbeh, and the Mixed Shawarma Plate. Everything was excellent. Especially the nice crispy, flavorful Kibbeh. We enjoyed the variety with the Mixed Shawarma Plate, everything was well seasoned and tasty. The staff was very friendly and kind. Looking forward to eating here again soon. Really lucky to have them in the neighborhood!"
